|
IMMEDIATE NEEDS:
- Spanish language interpreters & translators volunteers willing to work 3-5 hours a week assisting attorneys and clients
- Pro Bono attorneys to handle Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases.
All pro bono matters are mentored by a Legal Services of Southern Piedmont (LSSP) attorney and are assigned only after screening by LSSP for legal merit and financial eligibility. Volunteers handling LSSP cases are covered by our professional liability insurance.
Volunteer opportunities are available for non-lawyer volunteers on an as needed basis for projects, such as fundraising, events, mailings, bookkeeping and general office tasks.
Law students may extern for programs or volunteer during fall and spring semesters or summer term. We would be happy to work with you and your school to ensure that you gain practical legal experience to complement your legal coursework. Contact LSSP’s volunteer coordinator Katya Riasanovsky.
