Want to learn more about how to connect your clients/patients/constituents with Navigators who can help them access health insurance under the ACA? Attend a training session hosted by LSSP, NC MedAssist, Care Ring and United Way of Central Carolinas with two opportunities to attend, September 17 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. and September 18 at 8:30-10:00 a.m., at the United Way of Central Carolinas.
A goal of the Affordable Care Act is to achieve health insurance coverage for all Americans. This insurance coverage will be available through a Health Insurance Marketplace (exchange) to allow consumers to learn about, shop for and enroll in qualified health plans. Open enrollment begins October 1, 2013, yet many individuals and families, particularly in underserved populations, will need additional assistance to navigate this process. This session, presented by United Way health agencies, will provide information about how to connect your clients/patients/constituents with certified Navigators in Mecklenburg County in order for them to access health insurance in the new marketplace.
Please RSVP by Friday, September 13, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
