Diefenderfer received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center and earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of South Florida. Formerly, she worked with LSSP as an extern with its Veterans Legal Assistance Project. She also previously interned with the L. David Shear Children’s Law Center of Bay Area Legal and the Department of Children and Families’ legal department in Florida. Diefenderfer joined LSSP in December 2014.
Diefenderfer has always been passionate about serving her community; during her high school and undergraduate career, she worked with foster children and other vulnerable populations, including those affected by sexual abuse, mental health issues, drug abuse and domestic violence. In her current position, she is able to combine her social work skills with her international legal skills by helping immigrant children access safety and stability. In her free time, Diefenderfer enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her husband and dogs at the dog park.
