While earning her Master of Public Health in Grenada, Garcia was a member of the Public Health Student Association and participated in several service projects through the organization, including educational presentations at health fairs and providing support for the local mental health hospital. At Care Ring, she was able to see firsthand the sacrifices that people have to make for their health and became interested in learning how to help people attain the health services they need. As a navigator, she is passionate about educating and advocating for her consumers as well as learning more about how the health system is changing to increase access to important health care services. In her free time, Garcia enjoys outdoor activities, like hiking and snowboarding, as well as traveling, photography and experiencing new cultures.
