2010 Human Trafficking Conference held June 2nd, 2010
Human trafficking is one of the most profitable and fastest growing criminal enterprises in the world. Charlotte, due to its growth, its access to major highways, and its location as the major city between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, is consistently ranked very high for human trafficking activity in the United States.

On June 2, 2010, LSSP coordinated the first annual conference designed to help participants learn more about human trafficking in the Charlotte area. National speakers led specified tracks for law enforcement, faith-based and community participants, legal advocates, social service providers and health care providers. More than 150 people participated in this year's conference.
